well i got the truck started i hooked a hose to fuel pump and to gas can with gas in it started and ran so now when i get more gas im gonna fill up the tank i cleaned and see if it sucks gas from it hopefully it will i do have the 3 hoses dangling plugged up it still ran so

Check your rubber hoses at the top of the tank and also at the tank selector switch. If they split or have holes it will do the same thing.

yeah i got to replace those three hoses on top of fuel sending unit but they look fine for now just old cant believe how much these fuel sending units cost i seen 200$ for complete unit on ebay??

yeah i got to replace those three hoses on top of fuel sending unit but they look fine for now just old cant believe how much these fuel sending units cost i seen 200$ for complete unit on ebay??

you dont need the whole thing, unless your fuel level sender is bad.

i just have to set my timing now on the truck im gonna try to get the motor at tdc and then take distrubitor cap off see if it is aligned then reconnect and try to set timing

Should be up on the firewall, next to the brake booster.
