Hey all, new here! I have a 77 Silverado c10. I’m looking for the trim piece (stainless maybe?) that would go around the edge of the wood grain dash bezel. I’ve looked all over the internet and I’m not sure I’m looking up the right part name. I’m trying to restore the interior and am missing this piece. Photo attached shows the trim around the gauge cluster/bezel I’m talking about. Thanks!!

Assuming the '74 is the same as my '73, it's not stainless. It's a round mylar ribbon that's bonded to the perimeter of the bezel. Mine is still there, but came loose in a section that I'm trying to fix. No clue if it's repopped. You could hunt for an actual 1/8" round stainless rod and mold it to fit.

thanks for the reply and idea! Might be easier to just find a stainless rod like you mentioned rather than part number at this point haha.

Welcome to the forum. What I can tell you, not all the wood grain gauge clusters have that bright trim. The picture you posted is an upper trim level, maybe even a special edition trim. The scroll work on the door panel is different, many with wood grain dash also had wood grain inserts on the door.

Quick Google search, I did not find any wood grain gauge covers with that bright trim. I do believe it is a part with the cover on and upper trim level.

I had forgotten about that - I believe our 75 GMC Sierra Grande had that ...

I think this Gentleman Jim dash pic shows it, too.

My local Ace Hardware sells stainless round stock (among other stainless bits), maybe your local hardware store does too.
