14 Bolt FF 4.10 Open Differential

Look what I got for FREE. Hit it just the right time on CL in the FREE section.

I pulled the cover off for gear ID and to see if it was a locker or not. Its a 4.10 open diff. and looks to be in good shape.

This was under this lady's carport and she wanted it moved so she could park her car under the carport. She said her husband was going to be pissed, but it has sat there for over a year and she told him to move it for months. LOL, she was happy as could be to get rid of it, and I was happy as could be to load it up and move it too.

Here is another deal I scored on. Its a 14b FF out of a CUCV. You know what means !!! 4.56 gears and OEM Detroit Locker. I made the deal with this guy for $125 and he got to keep the disk brake conversion kit off it, so it wasn't a drum to drum purchase. Part of the deal, was I supposed to help him pull it. So I did. But after we got it out, he decided he didn't feel like pulling the disk brake kit off it, and figured it would be forever before he got the kit put onto his Burb, so he said, Fugg it. Take the Disk Brake kit too. SCORE !!!

Either way, definitely nice scores for FREE! I'm going to have to start scouring that FREE section. You and Retro seem to find pretty good stuff pop up on there.

Dave its the same there. Its all a matter of timing. Right place, right time. This lady just didn't have a hoist or a truck and wanted it gone. Scrappers are like vultures around here. They dig thru everyone's trash and all.

Nawww, they are 2 towns away and I don't go there much. Besides, I'm driving a differant truck now. You know me. I have enough trucks I can be disquised very easily. But I do bet he is one pissed off SOB when he came home and seen her car under the carport. I offered to haul off the truck it went into too. It was there too. SRW 1 ton.

I'm not skeered !!! I carry a Glock 23 (.40S&W) with a 13rd mag and one in the chamber and usually a spare 13rd mag in the door pocket of my vehicles, so if 27 rounds don't care of me, I deserved to be had.
