Stock jet size on a quadrajet for my 454

Just got these and will be putting them on the truck soon. The old Swampers are cracked and ready to blow! BFG KO 2’s 35” they’ll be a bit more street friendly and I’ll keep the old 16.5 rims so I can mount some more Swwmpers on them.

That’s hilarious, I like your wheels. Mine is parked outside and probably wouldn’t fit in a garage as well. I’ll be looking to get a building with a roll up door in the future for sure.

Stock jet size on a quadrajet for my 454

True, I’d have to either remove the 37’s and use blocks and straps to strap it down or find some stock rims and tires to try to fit it on a trailer.

Stock jet size on a quadrajet for my 454

I’m gonna be moving to the Midwest soon so if I’m able to I’m gonna transport at least two of my trucks. Gonna be expensive!

Stock jet size on a quadrajet for my 454

My new solution is to drag my vehicles to the Midwest with me and forget about having to smog them. The new trick is finding a way to transport them since I found out that Uhaul and other moving truck companies won’t let a person tow a lifted truck or any truck for that matter.

Are either of your plow trucks lifted? I have a 6” lift and 35’s and may be wanting a plow soon. Will it work?

    Air in my fuel lines?!?!

Another thing is that it used to have dual tanks and the driver side tank was removed and the lines were plugged off. Guess I’ll be tracing the fuel lines and possibly replacing them. As for a evap tank, I’ve never seen one and don’t think mine has one. I looked at the filler neck and hose...

    Air in my fuel lines?!?!

I noticed bubbles inside my fuel filter after shutting off the engine today. Not just a few bubbles, it kept bubbling for about 3 to 5 minutes. This is after driving it for the first time in about a year and it sat for several years before that. The back story is that this square was bought with...

th350 vent tube/check valve location and access.

Ok, so I posted about foamy transmission fluid and got a few replies about the vent tube possibly being plugged. My new question is.... Can I access it without having to drop the tranny down? My square is lifted 6" and I can pretty much sit under it while working on it. I'm getting ready to go...

    35X12.50R17 on 17x9 with 41/4 back spacing

4.25 backspacing Thanks for the info. I'll be installing the rims and tires soon. I also bought Dyna Beads to use instead of wheel weights so I'm hoping it works! I'm going to jack it up today and fit one of the rims on both the front and rear axles to look at clearance.

    17x9 with 315's on a 4'' lift?

I just bought the Pro Comp Series 51 in a 17x9 with a 4 1/4 inch back spacing. I'm hoping they will work as well?!? I have a 6" lift and I'm throwing 35X12.50R17's on them.

    35X12.50R17 on 17x9 with 41/4 back spacing

Hello, I'm going from 37X12.50R16.5 to 35x12.50R17. The rims that I bought have a 4 and 1/4 inch back spacing so I'm just wondering if anyone has used this size. I'm gonna run them on my 75 GMC K25 with a 6" lift it's 3/4 ton with 8 on 6.50 lugs. I believe if I measured correctly that the old...

Stock jet size on a quadrajet for my 454

Thank you for the info, it's much appreciated. I just got it to my house yesterday, it was at my cousins shop. I did also notice that the coolant overflow line to the canister is broken causing it to over heat a bit and the fan clutch is missing. It has a solid piece of aluminum in place of the...

I'm trying to get my Suburban to pass smog (California). I got said Suburban from my uncle who used to build race cars but passed away. I'm almost positive that he re jetted the Rochester in it for towing. It's a 77 3/4 ton truck with a stock 454. It was deemed a "gross polluter" by the smog...

    Foamy Tranny Fluid!!!!

Yes I still have the Th350 in it with the option to buy a Th400 if needed plus my coworker still has the Th400/NP205 setup but now he will give it to me for free if I go pick it up. I just don't have the time or money to put into modifying drive lines and buying adapters and such. Ideally I'd...

    Foamy Tranny Fluid!!!!

Just an update. I bought an aluminum pan and a new vacuum modulator. I installed them and put new fluid. I was unable to start my truck due to a dead battery. the last time I drove it around the block I was able to shift it by letting off the accelerator. I'm hoping the tranny is still good and...

    "A" Pillar grab handles

I have the same problem, I'm looking into mounting handles on the A pillars if I figure it out I let you know. As it stands, the previous owner/owners used the door to pull themselves in and now I have to replace the door hinges cause my doors sag now. Another idea I had was to mount a handle...
