Anyone know where you can get the grab handles to mount on the "A" pillars?
I have a 1986 Chevy K-20 and the wife has a bear of a time getting in, with out me giving her a boost (gives me an excuse to grab the butt ;-).

Just wondering.....

I'm already getting the side steps for her.

My '97 has them. Maybe that will help? Perhaps you could source a salvage one and see if you could adapt it. I just had the idea to get another one and secure it to the driver door...reckon that will be cheaper than replacing a $76 armrest. **** design of GMT400. Gonna offer 5 bucks for a gray one when I find some dude parting out the right truck on craigslist.
Seems reasonable that you could use an '86 door pull strap then it would match and everything!
Good luck!

I have the same problem, I'm looking into mounting handles on the A pillars if I figure it out I let you know. As it stands, the previous owner/owners used the door to pull themselves in and now I have to replace the door hinges cause my doors sag now. Another idea I had was to mount a handle kinda like the ones on big rigs, just behind the door.
