Wiper washer motor replacement. Who you buying from?

Since so many people seem to have problems with the GM delay modules I figured it would be worth while eliminating the GM stuff in this instance

Wiper washer motor replacement. Who you buying from?

I was already reworking everything so I went kinda custom with it. Pretty sure their motor needs to be ran with their switch ETA: It’s not plug and play if that’s what you want

    TBI Harness Pigtails

Do any of the 88-94 (GMT400) connectors work? There’s a lot more of that body truck in the junkyards around here and it’s basically the same set up IIRC.

    Vent window repair

I bought a rivet kit on LMC… was a real PIA to smash those suckers. That’s considering the whole assembly was out of the door and two people working together to smash them. I think I will find another way if I ever do another

    Wiring--Engine Heat Protection

I bought some reflective tubing from Summit, can’t remember what brand. I still used the metal tube heat shield but added lengths of this stuff for abrasion and heat protection

Super low buck toe plates version 1

That’s a cool way to do it. I just drilled some holes in angle iron and stretch a tape across. I’ve altered the holes a few times for different bolt patterns. They don’t take into account the weight of the vehicle sitting on the hubs though.

Time to put a sound system in the hotrod, wanna bounce some ideas

Eh, sound dampening (butyl stuff) won’t do much if anything for an MDF enclosure, you’ll be better served with some bracing and or an extra layer of MDF. The extra layer really helps on the baffle (speaker hole) side in making the box rigid. I’m not sold on polyfill either if you’re box size is...

Time to put a sound system in the hotrod, wanna bounce some ideas

Looks like those subs call for .3-.5 CuFt airspace in a sealed box which should be doable with one of your listed box options. What's the RMS power on your Amp? The current model Sundown SD 8's call for 400 watts RMS each, thats a pretty tall order. I didn't research the sundown stuff that...

Anyone ever make/crimp their own high pressure hoses?

We have one almost same as @justhorns, I’m not sure if it works on hydraulic lines or not. I’ve only ever used it for the AC lines in my square.

What new tools have you got lately?

^^^^ this I’ll add: I prefer the two hammer method, hold one hammer in place exactly where you want and strike it with the BFH. Prevents missing and tearing the boot or damaging something else from a glancing blow. And done forget to leave the castle nut threaded half way on the stud.

    For you LS swap guys.

Seems like the general consensus around here has been the Holley cast steel manifolds for LS swaps. I don’t have experience with them it I’m sure someone will chime in.

    Top Radiator Clamps

Dang…. Looks like the be cool’s are 21” tall and the Griffin is only 19. Looks like LMC has BB rad top panels in stock for 81-87 square. Not sure if it’s what you’re looking for.

What radiator are you planning? I did the Griffin kit with fans & it fits the standard radiator support.

Are locking hubs factory or personal add on?

No Ferd parts here! I just painted them red because the faded yellow didn’t look good. The color is a Toyota duplicolor though

    Rear Bumper 1986 K10

I thought rear bumpers were dealer installed options on squares. Dad was talking about the brand the good ones were the other day but I don’t remember what it was.

OBS seats in your Square. Who done it, Whats needed?

I was tempted to use a second row bench from a late model Tahoe, there’s tons of brand new takeouts from police vehicles for cheap. They’re a little bit narrower than a square bench though

Are locking hubs factory or personal add on?

Here’s what the factory Spicer manual hubs look like. Not sure if there’s any difference in the ’81 & newer models

    Bolt pattern adapter

Most likely, it’s probably a liability issue…. I can’t think of what stores websites do factor in stuff outside of the factory size. But discount tire are more helpful when you go into the store. Even some Les Schwab stores will work with you if you go in personally.

4x4 with 31x10.5/15 tire. Anyone running this size tire on stock lift??

Old pictures but here’s mine at stock height with 31x10.50’s on some chrome modular wheels. Bottom pic is 3” lift with 33’s and Rally wheels

What have you done to your square lately??

Vintage air sells the manifolds (I think), I found one that points straight up and the one I picked pointed both towards the front. I think I got it from Summit. The short chunk of hardline was from a Vintage Air kit for a ‘56 Chevy. It’s the short piece that goes on the evaporator/heater box...
