I've been thinking about getting one of those. How well does it do compared to an air ratchet?
I love it. It's very similar in operation imho. Keep itching to find excuses to use it. I used it to replace the water pump in my Tahoe 2 weeks ago and today to remove the dead battery out of my tractor. Speed control on the trigger is great. It will auto stop if you torque too hard. I like that because it will keep me from stripping threads. Very happy with it. Will absolutely pay for itself.

I have two of those type of heaters, and I've never bought one. The first one was abandoned at a job site along with a 55 gallon drum of kero. The architect on the job "contracted" me to dispose of it because he deemed it a fire hazard.

The other one, my neighbor threw out. I grabbed it and put a $12 air pump in it. With a few other tweaks it was making fire and heat reliably.

So for a grand total of almost nothing, I got a 155,000 BTU, and a 75,000 BTU in my heating arsenal. Wonderful things to have. Especially for the price.

My old one is a 75,000 btu, I've had it for around 18 years now. It's been a finicky POS for the last 10 years, especially the last 5 years. It only works how it should about 25% of the time. 50% of the time it lights off and makes poor heat, along with eye-burning fumes. The other 25% of the time, it just blows white smoke and doesn't light off. I've been all through it several times and it's still unreliable. But, even when it's working properly, it's nowhere near powerful enough to warm the garage/shop I have now. The new one will get the job done, at least for the first few years, until it inevitably starts acting up too.

Did the same thing on my welding table. Got a vise, pipe vise, and a small bench grinder I mount to it. Like to know if you have ideas for anything else to mount to it
I have a buddy that has a bunch of different things he uses his receiver for on his welding table. One of the things he has is a roller he got from HF. He puts his chop saw on his welding table and the roller is the same height as the deck of his chop saw... so it can acts as a extention for cutting long pieces of metal. He has his polisher mounted to a hitch. I'm wanting to make a foot pedal for my shinker/stretcher. I want a vice like you have. A tubing bender. He has a cherry picker type thing to help him put heavy pieces of metal on his table. Check out YouTube there are a few more I can't think of at the moment.

He also has a corner vice mounted to a hitch. That was one I forgot about.

Whatever you do, don’t look at the current HF coupons.

Or maybe do, go buy the same generator for 20% off, and return the one you previously purchased.

Got a few things at HF going to make some welding table clamps. Got a vice for the table also, going to mount it to a hitch. Got a free bucket... and a new 100' air hose.
