Wait.

Thats a NP208?

Also, is the cross member a good or a bad thing?

Also, slow down youre blowing my mind. This may explain a few things.

I need to sit down

Yep, it's a 208. Your t-case shifter probably has a little plastic console around it, correct?

yes

It would explain, why oh so long ago, I think you mentioned I shouldnt have that shifter housing in my truck based on the age. This would be like at least a year ago lol. i mentioned you in my thread on the topic if you have time to impart knowledge :)

That looks like it already has a skid plate.
Yes what im saying is id like to put that on my W truck, do you think its a direct bolt over or maybe even drill holes or do I need to get/fab one like yours?

I see.

Honestly, the easiest thing would be to look on eBay for that couple that sells chassis parts, buy the right part, turn your crossmember around and just bolt it on. I think it was Ray and Samantha. I got the missing crossmember for my spare tire mount from them. Nice to deal with.

You probably could fab one up, but I'd rather spend $40 for a bolt on solution. Time has value too.

More backwards progress. Cleaned my case and have been getting parts here and getting my frictions set right. (that part has me the most nervous) Buddy came over to look over my work and seen the crack. I swear I looked it over and didnt see it before. Thats trans was really tore up. Guess ill be cleaning the trans case I brought for parts that looked like it had been sitting in a lake.

Drove it! Haven't really been able to drive it in the last few weeks. However, it developed a tranny fluid leak on the way home but it was too hot to look at, so I backed her back in the garage and will investigate one night this week.

Thank you. I had to take the overload springs off but I added airbags so it should be about the same. Those pictures are with no air in the bags.
