Creeping FBMP today, does anyone know for a fact if the ram horn manifolds fit without interference on a 350ci SBC??
I've seen them used on 4x4s but not on a 2x the front crossmember would probably be an issue.

I have been chasing a low voltage to the fuel pump issue for a while, mainly because I just don't want to deal with it. I have not had time to drive it anyway. As I was metering the harness at different areas, I found 4 different butt connections from previous work along with a discolored power wire to the tank switching valve. When a wire or battery cable is discolored, it's usually from being overheated from a short or low voltage and that area becomes a point of resistance. You will meter it and have continuity and think all is good but it will not pass the voltage or amps needed and just turns into a long day. The factory wire was already borderline sized considering the length provided none of the strands were broken.

So after a short amount of research, I found "New Boyz Squarebody Rescue" sells a complete, dual tank, fuel injection replacement harness, I ordered it, it arrived promptly and tomorrow I hope to get it installed to continue troubleshooting. Also ordered new headlamp adjusters from him because I had problems finding the correct ones.

Can only see the top two outlets, both passenger side. Fit a square, I don't know, but the cross member assembly is similar to older trucks. Fit a 350, yes

Lately, just been running back and forth to machine shops and ordering parts and doo-dabs and what-nots as they come to mind for the engine build.

In the background, a guy a hour south of me had befriended me after he bought my valve springs. Turns out he has an old square pro-street build from the 80s complete with shaved door handles etc. But, he’s not knowledgeable on engines, and he bought an engine that turned out to be built poorly, so I’ve been spending a lot of time helping him navigate “what to do next “. It’s a good exercise in helping someone without being overbearing.

That, and the other buddy of mine called the other day, and he asked for my help and to take back his cherry picker from me temporarily because he had picked up another I-6 250 for his ‘73 cream puff square that he wants to build for it.

So, in the world of squares I’ve been pretty active lately! Just haven’t been here very much. Just checking in y’all, hope you all are doing well and the squares are rolling along.

The wife and I made a couple of road trips in my daily square last year and have a couple more planned this year.

I decided that I wanted to add a second saddle tank so I didn’t have to stop for gas so often.

The only thing is I didn’t really want to modify my passenger bed side, so I took a piece of 1 3/4” exhaust tubing and made a crossover tube connecting both tanks and a piece of 1/2” copper tubing I had laying around for the vent. I was a little worried about filling it up but so far it has worked flawless.

I put a little over 400 miles on it this weekend without having to stop for gas.

I make Lizardskin by adding microspheres to Latex paint, then spraying it.

I keep telling the wife that is what I am going to get our daughter for her first vehicle. Manual roundeye square 4wd shortbed.
Personally... I'd get her something you won't care about. My daughter was in six accidents in her first year if driving... and none of them were her fault. She had teacher's pull out in front of her, Jeep's back up over her hood, people that rear ended her, and bikers pull out of side streets into her. Out of four vehicles, the only one that survived was an '88 three quarter ton Chevy. And all of them were manual transmissions.
