Also got one of these out of the Burb. I have one for 86, but the cool thing about 87, is it will have TBI harness in it too. :waytogo:

If you still have these squares for parts when I retire, i will be adding to your pockets for some parts.

This one project is exactly why I bought a cherry 94 x-cab to dd. Now I can concentrate on my crew cab build.

Ahh Chris, I know who you are now.:wave: I'll let you know how it goes. The guy said he was taking a bumper and blah blah blah for this new square he was buying, then he went to gettting the 80 running but I could still have the Burb, now tonight, he's talking he's disgusted with both, and buying a GMT400, 93 4x4. So who knows what I'll end up with. Maybe none by the time it's all said and done. :shitsweak:

In hot rod's defense, i will say that many of you have no idea what its like to break your truck,,, walk out, pull the replacement part of f of the shelf, install it, and go on your merry way... no $ involved. Let me tell you, its VERY nice.

Exactly !!!

:happy175: And why sell off my trucks, when 1 breaks down, just park it, grab another set of keys and off I go in another truck.

I just wish this kid would make up his mind what he's doing. Now he says, he might just scrap both of them, and he'll have about $800 to find something else. I told him, then you'll regret scrapping them cuz you'll want parts off of what you scrapped to put on the new purchased square. I told him, don't even think you are scrapping those without me robbing some parts first, and I'll make up the weight for you with other stuff. Noway he is going to send air locker front axle and Detroit locker rear axle, and NP205 to the crusher. I'd so kick his fuggin ass if he did.
I'm really looking forward to setting up my 85 K10 with no powertrain currently, with that Th350/NP205 and those locker axles. He can have the peg legger 3.08 axles that are in the 85 K10 to scrap it with, but I am keeping the axles out of them since I'll have those spares in case I break axles.

I started pulling the Th350/NP205 out of the 80 GMC today. I hope to have that in my posession by Tomorrow afternoon. I also needed a front driveshaft for the 85 K10 anyway too. The 80 GMC has a 10 bolt in the front too, so that front shaft should have no problem fitting my 85 with the same Th350/NP205. I'm not sure of the gear ratio yet in the 80 GMC pick up, but I still might pull the front axles for spares. I'll probably try to sell the 12 bolt rear end to get this kid some money for it.

I finally was able to cut loose from tows and get the Th350, Converter, NP205, adapter, crossmember and both front and rear axle driveshafts out of the 80 K10 parts truck tonight. I have them here at the house now. Gotta Love FREE parts !!! So that makes up my mind for certain now. I now have an NP205, so I'll run it with the Th350 and not in the market for an SM465/NP205 anymore. It's the rear slip yoke type, but I think it'll be just fine and strong enough for my intentions. I do hope to go thru the trans and the Tcase before installing it in the K10.

BTW, for anyone who might know. I noticed the hump in the cab of the 80 with this NP205, didn't seem to be nowhere near as high as the hump in my 85's with the NP208 OEM trucks. It almost appears to be as low as my 2wd 3/4 ton cab humps. Is this right?

seems weird I always heard all stick shift (maybe not column ones) and then all 4x4's had the high hump and then 2wd's had low hump.???

I need a 84 and under overflow tank can ya swipe me one lol? it's the small one that bolts lower then the battery on the PS.

I need two favors please. Can you get a pic of the t-case shifter from two or three different angles? Also, Can you please get some front driveshaft measurements, extended and collapsed? It has the flange mount style on the t-case doesn't it?

Either the cab was swapped or you're looking at it wrong. I suppose though that a bolt-in hump might be shaped a little different than the welded in hump.

Yeah, I probably could use it if you aren't going to. Then I'd only have to worry about finding/making a rear shaft for the Blazer.
