So, I pretty much got all my parts now. Today I got the Detroit Locker carrier and also save the 2 axles out of the 10 bolt rear end. Figured if I break an axle, now I have spares instead of spending $95ea plus shipping for new ones. He told me the Burb was also 3.73 gears. Looking at the gears, a 41/10 is 4.10 gears. The rear pinion bearing was trashed badly, so the gears did get chewed on and I'm not using them. I'll likely just use that Detroit Locker carrier in my 3.73 rear axle of the 85 K1500.
Also got the 4.10 front 10 bolt axle with the ARB air locker. He also decided he didn't want to F with the springs so I cut the shackles and hangers to save the 4 inch front lift springs. Got it all today, at my house in my possesion now. :grd:

So I thought I was done getting parts. But today, while waiting for bossman to split so I could load the Burb to take over the scales, I figured i may as well go ahead and pull the K case 700r4, NP241C, and the front drive shaft. Here is what the Burb looked like going to the scalehouse. He got $437 for it over the scale missing the Trans, Tcase, Front Axle and Springs, Rear Axle Carrier and Axles, the nice gray dashpad and instrument cluster bezel. I didn't need the TBI 350 motor, and didn't have time to pull it, so it went to the scrapyard.

 I know I'm the only one watching my thread, but I'll post up anyway. Here is stuff I got from the Burb.

87 K Case 700r4 with strut rods and Conveter Cover, Tcase stabilizer, NP241C (non electric) Tcase, Front Driveshaft for 700r4/NP208 or NP241C and Torque Converter. Trans and Tcase said to work perfect. Fluids were pretty as could be, so I believe it.

Rear Axle 10 Bolt Detroit Locker Carrier and both Axle Shafts. The 4.10 gears were junked up cuz of bad pinion bearing, and why I only grabbed the carrier and not the whole rear end. The bad pinion bearing is what decided this Burbs fate. Other than being a rust bucket, it ran until the Pinion Bearing took a major ****.

And the 10bolt front axle complete from hub to hub. Brand New Warn lock out hubs, ARB Air Locker, notice the 2 lines, one is air line, one is vent, and also the 4 inch lift springs with U bolts.

The only drawback to the lockers is that they are for 10 bolts. The 10 bolt rear pinion went bad, running 4.10 gears and 35in tires. Goes to show the 10 bolt doesn't tolerate alot of abuse, although he didn't break axles. It could be whoever set up the rear axle didn't set it up properly too. I noticed the rear axle has been plumbed for an air locker too, so it obviously had an air locker at one time, then someone put the Detroit Auto Locker. I can only assume the 10 bolt rear failed, or he broke the ARB air locker carrier. I just intend to run the lockers in my 3.73 10 bolts with 33x10.50 tires and the 4 in suspension lift and call that good on that truck. I'll likely go ahead and swap the good 700r4 into the 85 K1500. The 85 K10 will be the one to get the 3/4 ton axles.

Damn Dawg, wish I had known. I scrapped the perferctly good 87 TBI 350 motor. Ran strong, didn't use oil. Didn't have time to pull it before the scales closed, and I have serveral 350 motors sitting around so I decided to hell with it. I coulda grabbed the TBI off the intake though. :sad72:

There is a short spring at the bottom, about 12in long. Unless it has a rating. Or, I don't understand the term Zero Rate.

Looking closer, I guess it is part of the pack. So, yep 5 springs. I'm hoping those are a bit tougher than standard half ton springs. Cuz I think I'll be using those on the truck that I put 56in 3/4 ton springs on the rear, and then only have to use 2in blocks in the rear and have it leveled off. Intended to use the 454 out of the 84 C20 in that truck too, then the Olds 455 will be going in the 84 C20.

Why not just leave the 454 in the C20 and stick the 455 in the 4x4?
