Nothing to mine but helped some friends work on her '86 yesterday. New interior, body side molding, grille, bumpers, RH fuel tank/sender/switch valve/dash switch.

We call those dumptimas lolol. Then after you're done with it, they're worth pretty good money for recycling, maybe not money to weight ratio.

It came in a scrapped car and was a dual post with good amps so i snagged it lol. Weight to money is crap for batteries right now. I believe 13 cents/lb...

nothing meant but is there a reason why the top center bar isn't level with the rest? Sorry if I missed a previous post that said so. For me, otherwise it kicks ass. Wish I had those welding skills.

Finished painting the inside of the front fenders and the radiator support.
(The sun/shade made weird designs on the painted areas)

I got more for my scrap batteries than a whole stock trailer of aluminum cans and some scrap aluminum. Last time I went anyways. Which woulda been a year or two ago.

Today, after some family stuff that needed to be addressed, I snuck out to the garage. I started the process of removing the bump stops above the rear axle. I went after one of the rivets with an angle grinder and ground it flat. I can see the outline of the leftover rivet.

I’ve tried beating on it with a punch and a 3 lb hammer. I was hoping it would move but to no avail. Before I go forward, is there an easier way to go about this? I don’t have access to an air compressor or chisel.

Am I now in drilling mode?

Drill a hole up through the center of the rivet. 1/4" is enough to help relive the pressure, on the sides, the rivet has when it was installed.

The step up reminds me of the bull bar on my mom's and mine old 74 burb(sold sadly love square body burbs) I'm thinking about adding a small 45° to cap it/gusset here's some more pictures extra bars not welded on yet more to come
