Washed the bed out today for the first time in about a year or so. Still had some gravel in it from the last thing I used it for before it died.

I got a really decent wing window assembly for my truck, actually, both sides.Got a 14 bolt FF with 4.10 ratio, plastic piece that goes under truck, against fender, around emergency brake cable, cargo lamp assembly for 250$

LMC don’t have any driver side wing windows, plus it’s listed at almost 300$,made in cena’s country.

They’re pulling the rear end out of a 81 suburban with a trailering package.

Installed wing window while I wait.

Installed U Joints in the rear driveline, installed a new grommet and PCV. Both were a pain in the rear.

Got it all ready to take to the shop to get the new 700r4 put in. Called him at lunch to set up a time. He has to meet me at the house to load the trans in the bed.

Too busy and it gets pushed back to Monday now. I'm gonna have him fix the headlights for blinking on and off too. New driveshaft and hedder gasket leak too.

Rear China wall leaked, so off it came for a clean up and reseal.
He used quite a bit more this time favoring the outside of the block for good contact.

When its running, it sounds much better.
No longer can you barely hear the "RV" cam, but you know its there.
Once it is up and running, I will get a video and post it up.

While he was waiting for the sealant to firm up, Max decided to finally swap out the tach that came in the truck with a much better one.
This little tach is hard to see and you really need to focus on it to see where your RPM's are.
Not even close to being good for anything but checking your idle speed.

In goes one of the several swap meet Autogage tachs that I have picked up.
I had him put it off to the right as who needs to see the bottom of the gas gauge.
Plus we have a manual steering column, so no PRNDL lever to contend with there.
This should be far easier to use...

The tach still needs to be cleaned up before it is final installed.
It still has the scum of the previous owner on it.

So, when I had the seat out, I took my excess, on the shelf left over dynamat kinda stuff and insulated the back wall and under the seat, as much as I could. Been driving with the new seat and really like how much quieter it is. So, now I can really hear the loose vent window whistle as I go down the road. Tonight, what I did was rebuild/replace the vent window handle in toto. Should be even quieter now with out the whistle. Vent window closes tight now.

Any body know how to fix a rattly parking brake release thingy.. Its the next noise, on the price is right..

Is there enough gap between the rod of the release mechanism and the bracket for a bit of margarine tub thickness plastic sleeve action? Zip tie some around the rod to act as a bushing.

I have to change the breather side on mine, the hard molded pipe broke and half of it is in there, no-one makes the pipe so time for engineering.
