Damn! If it's really in that good of shape, that's probably a bargain.

I would say it's worth it for a 1 owner 80K mile truck. What would you spent on fixing it up to this condition?

From the pics, "tons of money" into it, seems like minor repairs from it sitting for so long. The pics don't indicate any major cosmetic work, although it's suspect that the original paint from that era could look that good. May have had the black re-sprayed, or it could have been a total garage queen.
If it was a K20 pickup same color and condition, this would have been a picture in the "Show us a pic of your squarebody" thread, not the shot for sale on CL thread!!

I'm going with "total garage queen". Those red stripes have the perfect placement and people always botch that part after a repaint.

Hope I don’t botch it! My stripes are blue though so hopefully that will help. And I took about 20 pics with a tape measure so I can lay it out perfect, but since it’s been re painted once, it was off a half inch or more side to side!

That picture up there is a perfect example for how the fender stripe should be. It is curved and follows the curvature of the fender's rolled top, NOT the body crease which is what many people do. Also, the the tape stripe has a sharp curve for the downturn, not a big rounded one and not a 90* corner. Then the stripe gets narrower as it gets closer to the bumper.

^Appreciate the directions!
I got measurements from the top of fenders front and back.
But looking at them, my truck has been repainted, so stripe has been replaced once.
Look at the turndown, not as sharp and what do you mean by narrower as it gets closer to the bumper? Mine is consistent width. And parallel with the edge of the grille trim.
You mean closer to the grille at the bottom by the bumper or actually tapered, narrower stripe?

@Grit dog here's some pictures of my '87 for reference when I bought it in 1989. It didn't get the GM repaint until a couple of years later.

I guess it doesn't taper as much as I remembered. But it does taper slightly and the end is "finished" by being rounded off.

Other than me spray painting the grey area that had peeled off, the black paint is original and so are the tape stripes.

Thanks for the visuals.
Looks like Craig’s stripe is angled towards the grille trim a bit at the bottom and buckets is parallel.
I did pick up on following the hood slope not the body line at the front of the fender.
The stripe kits are already pretty much set for the turn down radius I’d think although a bit “adjustable.” Probably. But one wouldn’t want to mess with how it was molded very much.

It’ll be a very good day when I’m worried about installing new trim stripes! Got a ways to go.
