Those ones look simple, clean and functional. The big marshmallow tire guy is going to get my 42 bucks as well.

Drove it to and from work, and got a :waytogo: on the way home in traffic. :)

Also filled it up and supposedly got 11.63 MPG.

Don't believe that - averaged with the last fillup ( different gas station) puts it around 10.5 which I could kind of see for no ac mainly highway driving.

At least sitting up tall I get a better view of seat covers ( 70's CB lingo, AKA :chicken:'s).

:Big Laugh:

Installed an AutoMeter Street Tach in my 76 and actually wired the lights up for the tach and vacuum gauge. Really like how snappy the response is of the new tach compared to the old one.

Got the starter back in my CUCV. Last snow (about 3 weeks ago) I went out to plow and the dam thing wouldn't start. Couldn't plow, but luckily it was a light snow, so no problem, shoveled the driveway by hand.

Pulled the starter and had it rebuilt, took 2 weeks to get it back. Installed it wednesday before going to work and finshed up hooking the batteries back up yesterday.

Started right up. Yeah! Raised the plow to move the truck, and when I went to let it down, no luck. Bad coil on the lift solenoid. Dam! No time to do any more on it, had to go to work.

Snowed last night, I'm waiting on a new coil for the lift solenoid, back to shoveling the driveway by hand

You mean to tell me that you actually found a place that rebuilds starter motors? I thought they were a thing of the past (like magazines), good to hear!

We have a local shop that does great work and is very reasonably priced. They are also honest about if you would be better off buying a new starter over having yours rebuilt.

I once took a large truck starter to them and they returned it cleaned and painted, no charge, it was just dirty inside. Worked great!

Drove it to work - noticed a growling type noise at 65ish I have never noticed before.

May be the mud grips were to a noisier place- dunno.

Checked the oil in the rear diff - plenty in it, so not that.

Sat in traffic on the way home, but for a good chunk of it got to eyeball some Aisian stripper looking girl that was falling out of her halter top. Looked like she had a white thong on, too.

Sorry, no pics, but it was side boob and side nipple shots.

Made stop and go traffic more bearable.

I know, I know - was never stopped long enough to get the phone and a good shot, and who needs a crappy shot that you can't tell what it was ?

I guess she was coming home from work, and had to know she was flashing.

I would have given her a thumbs up, and thanked her for making the slog more bearable.

Well, and put a dollar in her gstring...

:insane:

I have done that before, but this time was just shocked they had it and wanted it in hand before they closed.

Kind of ironic as when I bought that rear brake hose, online Auto Zone was cheaper.

Lo and behold after I called to order it, one of those Advance 25% coupons popped up in my email.

Scary how much they track for one thing, but it would have made Advance cheaper.

Oh, well...

That hose and brake fluid got me the 25 dollar reward at Auto Zone.

PF1218 for next oil change and Castrol GTX 10W40 if they have it.

:)
Just Google advance Auto coupon code. You will find one. I used the same code literally for years and got 40% off if I ordered I think it was $100.
