Finished replacing the left side cab mount, rocker, floor pan and cab corner this weekend (ongoing over the past few weeks) some filler and primer left to do and rehang the fender and hood.

One Borg Warner DS111 later, I can haz lights again!:D

Local Advance had one !

15.99 - lifetime warranty. LMC's is like 6, but with shipping , probably equals out.

Now that it is on - Kwestion.

Is it worth spraying that spade connector ( disconnected, of course ) with electrical cleaner ?

I'm not sure if you know this, but I save a fair amount with advance auto by placing an order online to pickup in store, and use the code COUPON25 to get 25% off my purchase, then for every $50 you spend you get $5 speed perk coupon. Pickup in 30 minutes from placing the order.

I have done that before, but this time was just shocked they had it and wanted it in hand before they closed.

Kind of ironic as when I bought that rear brake hose, online Auto Zone was cheaper.

Lo and behold after I called to order it, one of those Advance 25% coupons popped up in my email.

Scary how much they track for one thing, but it would have made Advance cheaper.

Oh, well...

That hose and brake fluid got me the 25 dollar reward at Auto Zone.

PF1218 for next oil change and Castrol GTX 10W40 if they have it.

:)

Pulled the 350/400 out of my free parts truck today. No immediate plans in mind other than tear it down and rebuild. Nothing fancy, just a stock rebuild. Yeah, right........LOL!:cheers:

So i had to run to walfart after work and buy a new pair. Buy a nice new michelin pair, take them out to the truck and find out they arent compatible with the bayonet mount... WTF:emotions122: Take them in and return them and buy another set, these are compatible but a MAJOR BITCH to get on! Theyre on and wipe amazing, beer time!! $40 later...

It ripped right through that chinsey plastic!

Right, but no damage to the linkage or motor. All good.

I need to do that again, but don't remember them giving me any grief.

Probably because there are no flare fittings ...

I bought the wally world cheapos.

The blades on my '78 are very flimsy and cheesy too. But they wipe good.

Got a pic of them installed? A lot of the modern blades have a big and bulky center attachment area and it really bothers me for some reason. I know it's a silly thing to worry about, but I can't overcome it.
