Any of you guys have the vss hooked up on the older trannies? I thought about getting the Dakota gauges adapter

There is a sensor they have that is just VSS and also another one that is able to do both. In my case I have a cluster out of a 91 4 x 4 Blazer so I'm using the Dakota SEN-01 on my swap. It will be setup to run to the PCM and then the PCM provides the output to the VSS speedo.

Well, the 77 got dropped off at the AC shop yesterday, felt really weird to leave it there. I almost feel violated letting someone else work on my truck without me there. Oh well, with any luck it will be finished Tuesday and I can pick it up Wednesday.

Are you going with the R4 or Sanden style compressor?
That's the only thing left under the hood for me.
I'm thinking R4 since I can use all the factory style parts. Just need to buy the bracket.

rpcraft is correct.
I used Dakota Digital SEN-01-4160. If you use it, be careful of the drive shaft link that it is sent with it. The length will mostly need to be trimmed.

I went with a NP241 and gauge cluster from a 90 burb. Bolts up with no mods and the NP241 is a stronger T-case than the NP208 it had.
Just had to connect the wire from the computer to the VSS of the T-Case and then the wire from the computer to the cluster.

I am using a Sanden compressor with an ICT billet bracket p/n 551494x-3. But I am running a 5.3. If I remember correctly you running a 350. I know there are a lot of after market brackets for Sanden compressors, not to sure about the R4.

BTW, 77 AC is not finished yet. Bummer. Hopefully they will be finished tomorrow so I can pick it up Friday.

I've gone through your build thread and unless I missed it, I didn't see what you did for the fuel supply (tank, pump, plumbing, etc).

Nice build

I used a NV-3500 trans
Late model camaro manifolds and had to mod my clutch pedal to hydraulic

Was easy
Just drilled a hole in the pedal arm and bolted the arm from the master cylinder to it

*Drivers side fuel pick up/sending unit FG05M
*Fuel filter PF-1000
*Fuel filter adapter 800-170

Thanks for the info on the fuel set up. That's what I figured. Seems I will need to be making another (new) fuel tank purchase. Now that I am leaning towards fuel injection I wish I had not purchased the GM11A tank (does not have the baffles).

It works once it’s primed

If you ever run it out of gas it won’t self prime
You have to prime it with a hand vacuum pump

At least mine was that way
