I found the perfect headers for 67/86 C10 K20

I have been needing exhaust for my 85 for a long time. Bought a few from hedman and hooker and sent them back for bad Q/C.. I bought these

and they fit PERFECT. I do not have a performance engine. Its all stock. Auto also. I did not have to remove anything to install. I did not have to DING or BANG anything to get them to fit. Best header ever for a simple install, and they come with everything you need to bolt them up!! These puppies dont even hang what so ever. I used the hooker max flow muffler and could not be happier!!

These are nice, and the price is good. I wonder why 87's are not included. Maybe something to do with the O2 sensor.

I still think this is what I'll get for my Jimmy when I get around to building it up. I'll find a place for the O2 sensor.

You can buy reducers that have an O2 sensor bung attached. I bought flowtech headers for my '87 and used a 2.5" reducer with the O2 bung already installed. The fitment was spot on; just wish the flowtech exhaust tubing kit fit better.

Those are a real nice fit, especially for a 4x4 and working around the front driveshaft.

Something else you may need to know, IIRC, according to some of the gurus on here that have done conversions or even just using headers on computer controlled trucks from the factory, to use headers I think you need to use a heated O2 sensor. This is due to 02 sensor being so far away from the exhaust ports and thin headers compared to exhaust manifolds are likely to cool quicker.

You can certainly give it a try without the heated ones, but if you do get it all together and start throwing 02 codes, then you'll know why and will probably have to go heated.

Yeah, I was planning to do a heated sensor. I'd say it's a worthwhile trade off to say goodnight to the stock manifolds.
