Well my C10 has been languishing for a while due to other projects and not driving it in the summer without A/C. The carb on it needs to be swapped to see if it is the problem or just an under performing engine. The trans slips in second gear.
I stumbled across an engine for sale on the Corvette forum that was listed last summer and is still available. We get to talking and I decide to buy it. He is in Connecticut and I am in NC. I just happen to have a customer who delivers motorcycles up and down the East Coast and happens to be in Mass. about to come home with an empty truck and trailer. Tells me you pay for my gas back home and I will deliver it to you. Done. Left Mass yesterday and as now in the shop where I work as of noon today.
One rebuilt 454 with 1300 miles on it waiting for me to swap intakes,verify if the oil pan will fit,and swap it in.
Taking my spare trans to the tranny shop this week for a rebuild and hopefully have a 500hp big block ready to eat.
