I’ve got an 81 K10 that did not come with power windows or locks.

I bought some 82+ doors off a parts truck that has PW and locks.

I got the under dash harness as well.

My fuse block doesn’t have power running to the plug where the power window harness connects to the fuse block. No big deal, I ran a jumper to the plug from a hot wire for the time being.

I got new window motors and regulators. Hooked up the new motor to the regulator and plugged it in. Hit the switch and it started to go up. Cool.

Put it all in the door and nothing worked. Weird. Pulled it all out. Ran a test light to everything. Switches are working. Getting power all the way through the harness and to the motor. Motor doesn’t do anything.

Okay cool, thought maybe the motor was bound up on the gear attaching it the the regulator, so I pulled the motor off the regulator and tried it again. No joy. Test light confirmed I was getting power to both sides of the plug on the motor.

I’m kind of at a loss here at this point and have run out of ideas. Feels like it’s an obvious answer that I’m overlooking.

I’m at the end of my rope here fellas, any ideas?

One thought I just had. I don’t have the driver side wired up/plugged in. The 6 pin connector that goes to the back of the driver side window switch ******. The wires fell out of the pins etc. I’ve got new ones on the way but they’re not here yet.

Would the driver side not being connected prohibit the passenger side from working?

pretty sure the whole system grounds back through the driverside switch and to the busbar above the ebrake. not sure if the switch has to be connected for it to work, but at least the driverside ground needs to be in place.

Yeah I have the ground connected to the bus bar. Even hit it with some sandpaper to make sure it was doing its job. I forgot to mention that.

USA1 delivery just came, which has the connectors I was missing. Going to hook all the new connectors up tomorrow and hopefully that'll solve the problem.

I don't remember the year break, have you looked at a schematic? They are not all the same. Some ground the motor and juggle the hot between 2 poles for up and down. The other flip flops power and ground for up and down and if I remember right nothing works if the drivers door switch isn't installed.
