I’ve got an 81 K10 that did not come with power windows or locks.
I bought some 82+ doors off a parts truck that has PW and locks.
I got the under dash harness as well.
My fuse block doesn’t have power running to the plug where the power window harness connects to the fuse block. No big deal, I ran a jumper to the plug from a hot wire for the time being.
I got new window motors and regulators. Hooked up the new motor to the regulator and plugged it in. Hit the switch and it started to go up. Cool.
Put it all in the door and nothing worked. Weird. Pulled it all out. Ran a test light to everything. Switches are working. Getting power all the way through the harness and to the motor. Motor doesn’t do anything.
Okay cool, thought maybe the motor was bound up on the gear attaching it the the regulator, so I pulled the motor off the regulator and tried it again. No joy. Test light confirmed I was getting power to both sides of the plug on the motor.
I’m kind of at a loss here at this point and have run out of ideas. Feels like it’s an obvious answer that I’m overlooking.
I’m at the end of my rope here fellas, any ideas?
