I guess I am like a few other members, I looked at it. For me it's easy, it's in the driveway and I have to back out and pull in right next to it. But it's going to be driven again this week, weather is nice so no very cold starts.

Weather is finally turning for the better here in MI.

I'll be power washing the 454 tonight, hopefully picking up a cheap set of valvecovers, but this dude is being a flake, so cutting a hole in the stock ones is still on the table.

Also plan to finish unbolting the 350 tonight, maybe even get it pulled and into the scrap pile, will definitely do that by tomorrow night.

Over the years, I seem to have lost several coolant overflow bottle caps. Mostly due to getting distracted after adding a bit of green radiator juice to the bottle and forgetting to put the cap back on. The cost to drive 160 miles round trip to the parts store seemed a little silly. Amazon would take a week to get here, and Summit would be three days and shipping would cost a bunch. So I had a look at the auction site, found a box of OEM caps with free shipping, and since the seller was almost local, had them in two days for the cost per unit slightly less than Amazonian stuff. Now I have a few spares for when I get distracted and lose one, again...

Don't know where to put it so thought I'd share here. I looked at spindles for the K10 on Amaswan, they show as $142 but there's a coupon to apply taking off $42. Worth looking at if you are ordering Yukon parts before March 23rd.

got the 87 gmc back in the shop for the new steering box, the new steering shaft showed up today so I will be able to get everything done in one round of shop time!! Perfect timing cause its supposed to start raining so I won't have water dripping on my face while under the truck!!

Just have the spindle nuts to get cleaned up and installed, and then the locking hubs and it will be done and out of my way!

Fired up the Hobart 190 and welded up the trim holes for my fender refurb. A little bondo, a little primer and some wet sanding with an NOS Drill Master palm sander and the city's finest tap water. Couldn't find the correct RPO code primer so Rustoleum it is.

Got the last section of transfer case sandblasted and powder coated. Cleaned up the gasket surface on the other two sections. Getting closer to putting it back together.

well I got the new gear box installed, new steering shaft is fitted but not tight yet. the new steering stabilizer didn't have any new mounting studs--Skyjacker brand. so Off to town tomorrow to see what I can come up with. thinking a 7/16" flange bolt and a bushing to snug up the fit around the bolt,should work good enough!!
