I swapped the valve covers from side to side, intending to put the PCV valve on the driver side, but the hose I have is old and stiff and interferes with the throttle return spring, so I just stuck the little breather on that side for now. Going to fasten a sock to it like Rick said later before I drive it tomorrow.

Brakes back together on that side, but no fluid. Someone before me changed all of the hardlines to brand new stainless, and the master cylinder. But they didn’t change the three rubber lines. I took the rear one out, suspecting it was closing in. Cut it open and it looks like it. Could be blocked at some point I don’t know. Honestly, I don’t know what the inside of one of these hoses is supposed to look like but this one looks awful small. Going to get another one tomorrow. The kid on the phone at O’Reillys started talking about 133 inch rubber lines so I just said look I’ll go to the main hub in town tomorrow and match it there don’t worry about it little buddy.
Yeah, that rubber line has seen better days

Most common arrangement is pcv where the breather is no linkage to interfere with and a shorter run. The breather or vent hose would be where the pcv valve is. I assumed you were going g to do it that way when I said I'd move the valve covers side to side. My thought was now the back of each valve cover would then be the front if each valve cover. If the leak moved to the front we'd know the valve covers are tweaked. Im sorry I just assumed you'd put the valve covers in same arrangement just using them on opposite sides.

I'd be tempted to try using a pcv valve for 1970 Corvette with a 350 hi performance engine. PCV valves work off of engine vaccum. You've got a bigger cam so it's going to have less vacuum at idle the 350 LT1 Corvette or Z28 had a bigger cam than a common 350.

Got the rear brake hose on. Noticed several weeks ago that the rubber fuel line from the tank to the hardline is old as hell as well. Got a foot of 3/8 fuel hose while I was at O’Reillys. Got everything ready, took the hose off, but the new one on, won’t seal, it must be 5/16 line. Went to put the old line back on and it’s split. Gasoline all down my back and in my hair, running down the driveway while I drive across town to get the right hose.

Keep in mind you'll need a 5/16 to 3/8 reducer if you install the 350. It'll go between the hard line and the fuel pump. Sucks you dumped all that fuel. Been there, but I was removing the cab and thought I'd drained the tank completely.

Got to drive it today, bout 40 miles highway and city. 70mph, No oil leaks, no brake leaks. Speaking of brakes, they’ll chirp the tires now. I honestly think the only way I will convert to discs as if I just have the extra cash. For now I feel like doing a dual master cylinder and calling it Good. Maybe new shoes on the other three corners and new drums all the way around and just drive the hell out of it. As far as brakes go. I WILL be doing power steering, and upgrading the steering components.

Random picture.

The drum brakes work just fine, front (edit: front disc) will make it stop like your squares. That's the only difference. On Crusty Biscuit, those (edit: those drum) brakes did not work like they should, and nothing I did got them to brake as well as my original 65 Mean Green (edit: with drum brakes). When I added the front disc to Crusty it was great to stop way better (edit: actually stopped better than my 81 c20).
