I was meaning a pcv on one valve cover to the base of the carb, and the draft tube on the other valve cover that goes to the air cleaner.

These photos only show the pcv to carb. The draft tube is the other side. I drove this truck thousands of miles, no burned oil, no leaks, no retorques, just turn the key and go.

He has a pcv valve in the right valve cover rear, and a breather on the left valve cover.

I've always seen the pcv on the driver's side and draft tube on the passenger side.
I need a factory style air cleaner that will accept a tube and not this rinky dink chrome crap that came with the truck

I have one almost identical to the one in your photo. Need to go get it. Its on that white K10 Im getting the 355 from

I ordered this one from ebay in like 2008. I wanted it to look factory even though from a newer model year

Yes, it would be better to vent this crap back into the engine than onto my firewall.

I like that air cleaner, it uses the same filter as my 81

I bought an installed a new PCV valve, even though the old one rattles when you shake it. I removed both valve covers, sure enough both of them are leaking in the back lower part. That’s just crazy to me, because I literally had to pry these off with a pry bar. Permatex gasket sealant on both side sides.

What kind of crank case pressure could do this? Or is that even the issue? I just picked up the $75 fel pro blue with steel core. While I was at O’Reillys, I bought some of the steel chrome 4 inch long wing nut valve cover bolts, but of course the threaded part is not long enough now because the blue gasket is so thick. Wasted money. Need to go to the hardware store to get new bolts.

Also going to pick up that breather today, hopefully it has the draft tube with it

And something I just noticed, why is there a hole on the valve cover in that back corner? I’m away from the truck right now but when I get back I’m going to look at that
