New cheapo bed cover, $205.99, from Amazonia. Roll up with velcro. Old cover had snaps, which were a pain.
EZ-COVER 8' Soft Roll Up Truck bed cover
Doesn't cover the stake holes in top of bedrail, but I added rubber sheeting to cover those 6 holes.

New used parts I acquired. I'm curious if anyone has seen these on a Square body? Or some other brand of vehicle. They are very well built. And What do the masses think should I go with these, 3 point towing mirrors or Dumbo style on my build?

Put the LS Fab tail light fill kit on today. I'm not super happy with it an it won't "close" all the way. Gonna have to give them a call tomorrow. There are other spots to put the spring so I'm thinking i need to move it some.

I can hold it an it stays where it should but as soon as you let it go it pops back open like that

Is the back of the light housing pressing against the body just enough to not fully close, flexing and acting as a spring pushing it back open.

That's a good question, I don't think so but it's possible. It's difficult to see with the lense on, but you cant line it up without it :doh2:

I was also out of time for the day an just wanted to see it on there. The cutting an fitting took longer than I thought it would

Do you have to buy LS tail lense housing by chance - that would suck

I noticed that it is sandwiched in between and figured maybe the extra offset was causing an issue.

Is it worth the cost?
I've seen them never used one, but if you're trying to mount a rear tank and want the filler anywhere other than the bed floor it's a trick way to do it.

Like I said I wouldn't know my truck has a fuel cell in the bed other than that only ever used the stock saddle tanks.

On gaskets, about 50 years back my old 69 stepside ran a 250 six. I had headers on it and they were great, until I rebuilt the engine. Then it was a major battle, trying to get the headers sealed. I did the swap between bolts and studs thing, bought high end gaskets, but just couldn't get a seal.

On the way out of town one day I saw a hole in the wall repair shop. Dropped in to inquire about the problem. There was an "old" man there and he was very helpful for his knowledge.

The old man suggested I get a marine gasket for a 160 Merc. What that hell. I did. It worked. Marine stuff really is better. Including those expensive gaskets the hot rod parts places sell.
