After years, finally got the motor back into my Jimmy.

Quick backstory/recap on this one - 350-SM465-NP205 1988 V15. Pulled the motor for head gasket and harmonic balancer failed. Rebuilt motor, still TBI, Vortec heads, Vortec intake. Swapped to roller cam setup. ECM chip custom tuned to setup; EGR/evap delete, also accounting for all of my upgrades. Upgraded fuel pump and fuel pressure spring. New clutch, resurfaced flywheel. Shorty headers. Spent my day putting it back in the rig, pulled it like 3 New Years Eves ago. Everything's been going well, found all my hardware and bracketry after sitting for years. Only issue I've had this far is my O2 bung lines up right against the frame rail with these headers, so i cannot install it at this time. Looking into some options, truly hate to notch the frame but may be the easiest way. More updates to come.

Relocate the bung. Plug and weld in another in different spot maybe?

This ^ That bung looks to be right in the middle of the merge in the collector it should sit farther back to get a good read on all of the output not just the closest one or two. Put a new bung in the top or bottom of the pipe (which ever has the best clearance) behind the collector flange about 12" or less of the collector.

It could be worse, lol. In the 90's, there were cheap headers available for the 3rd gen F-body that had the O2 bung in the #5 primary tube.

Weird Theye'd put it in one of the center 4 as any of the 4 corners would be better (safer) due to distribution typically making the outers leaner than the center 4.

Got a 73 K5 for the Mistress... it is rough...rough. my thought is to cut the windshield frame off, and weld it to the Mistress. Some of you know I've wanted to make it a roadster for awhile. I just wanted the header to look correct. If anyone needs and thing from it, let me know. It has good fender emblems, good grill.

The bs with the alternator continues. I hate this bastard! It's even farther off now with the bottom bracket and spacer. The top bracket is got from summit was not even close to fitting. So I'm gonna go back and make it work with the other bracket because it closer.

I had the exhaust manifold gaskets done. When I asked the guy how burnt the leaking gasket was he said " What gasket? There were no gaskets in it on either side." Sounds great now and will make the drive to Fall Revival soo much better!

They didn't use exhaust manifold gaskets when new. Rumor is they were more prone to crack exhaust manifolds when they had gaskets.
