Yet another 1982 heater hose question thread.

Ran this through search first but not finding anything.

My 1982 350 (M VIN) has a heater hose that is capped off. The other end goes to a 90° fitting on the block by the starter.

What is this and where does it go?

My 1982 350 (M VIN) has a heater hose that is capped off. The other end goes to a 90° fitting on the block by the starter.

The block drain on the side of the engine was used for a cold weather heater, the hose out of the top of the heater would have a "T" fitting on the hose to the manifold.

Many aftermarket companies making tank type block heaters as well as freeze plug heaters. My opinion, Zero Start is one of the better tank type heaters.
