Doubtful. Probably a gummed-up butterfly shaft.

yeah, likely not the sensor if the actual throttle is sticking open. if the voltage is sticking or being weird, that could be the sensor

Sticking aic. Or iac can make it stick high idle. Or make it die in stop and go.
On a multipoint efi ford I had a bad tps cause bad high idle issues.

On a multipoint efi ford I had a bad tps cause bad high idle issues.

yeah, if the TPS is sending off-idle voltage when you are actually idling, it messes with the computer and causes idle issues, either rough or high bc the IAC will be either too open or opening and closing if the voltage is jumping around.
