Getting ready to put engine back in soon. This piece that the starter and fuel sending unit wiring passes thru was not attached just hanging aside. Can anyone tell me where it attaches?
Thanks, Dan

Someone here will know for sure.

Mine has a sheet metal channel 3x3x1" under the passenger side floor/firewall that the starter loom passes thru, it didn't have a round tube. Mines a 78 BIG TEN for reference.

Look like it is what bolts to bell housing at back of engine( kind of like the trans dip stick tube ) for the wires to be protected going down to the starter motor

Doh ya that makes sense.

Top goes on bellhousing bolt and lower probably on the starter solenoid mounting bolt if it's anything like the one on the old Monte Carlo I had.

The big hole goes on a bell housing bolt behind the passenger side of the engine. The little hole goes on a starter stud on the aft end of the starter.

Awsome! Thanks for your replies, I'll get it bolted up when I re-install engine and transmission.
