Hi there! I bought a 77 c10 with a tt 5.3. Some parts of the build were done somewhat nicely, some not so much. Suspension is one of the not so much areas, I’m looking at options for redoing it. It currently has a flip kit with stock components. I’m considering four link but it’s spendy. I’m looking for good street/strip options. I don’t want to just cheap out but want something not overly spendy to do both those things. What are your recommendations?

Depends on your power level. I'd look into a rear end and driveshaft that can handle your power level and then consider suspension from there. Mines running a 5" aluminum driveshaft and a 9" with a spool and 457 gears, stock style Leaf springs and Caltracs bars. If I were to get up closer to 1K HP I'd consider either ladder bars or a 4 link. Most likely the ladder bars so I could mount everything inboard of the frame rails than run wider tubs to fit a big tire.

Power level and what you're wanting out of the truck are the main factors here. For a street/dragstrip truck, stock leafs and CalTracs work very well. My buddy Trevor has like 800-1000hp in his C10 that's very basic, drop spindles/cut stock springs, flip kit and shackles out back with CalTracs. He hooks very well and that truck is knocking on the door of 9s IIRC. Not sure what shocks he's running but something like a double adjustable Viking would be good so you can dial it in at the track and then have a street setting too.
