what size fuel tank do i need?

hey guys, i just recently chopped and shortened my 76 8ft fleetside to a shortbox stepside from a 1980 (fuel filler on driver side) does anybody have the dimensions of a fuel tank that fits a shortbox stepide that will work with driverside fuel filler? i think its a 16 gal. tank, but still need the dimensions as it is a special order and needs to be paid upfront and cannot be returned. thnx in advance again, 76 chev, with an 80 box

Tanks are interchangeable from side to side, just need the appropriate filler hose.

Don't recall about all of them but the duals that i pulled not too long ago were exact opposites. And the necks were towards the rears.

the filler neck or what side it goes on isnt my issue at the parts store. they have 3 different listings for a 16 gal tank, and since i dont have an old one, i need the dimensions of the one i need to order
