I've been looking for a pair or two of those, but haven't seen any in stores.

I watch a ton of on line auctions because I try to buy and sell cars and such. A pallet of garage tools came up and I won the bid at $65. The scan tools are out dated and only go to I think '09 but will work on my Tacoma and my '87 Gm trucks because they have OBD1 cables too. It can register TPMS sensors if you have to change them. Temp gun, tire patch kit, black light to look for UV dye leaks, pressure tester for fuel tanks to check for evap leaks, coolant pressure tester, Throttle body fuel pressure tester, soldering gun, and other stuff. If anything, stuff to sell at a swap meet or something.

What ever sort of deal I got here went away as I purchased new Snap On 1/4 drive deep and shallow metric sockets, new 1/4 drive swivel head ratchet and 1/4 drive wobble plus extension set to add to my old Snap On set that was getting worn and retired to the home tool box

Not new, but brought new life to it, I had inherited it with my uncles tools.

I had initially thought it was an inline air drill, discovered it’s a die grinder with a Jacob’s chuck. Not sure how but things clearly went pear shaped at some point:

But I had also inherited a new Jacobs chuck that I assume was intended to go on it. Turned out I did not need to get the old chuck opened, but I wasn’t sure if there was or wasn’t going to be a screw to remove first, like hand drills have (to keep it from unscrewing in reverse).

Unscrewed that nut at the chuck end and the “cartridge” comes out and there is a tang I was able to put a wrench on and with the chuck clamped in the vise, simply unscrew it, then install the new chuck.

I tune alot of customer carburetors, and I just needed a simple rich/lean AFM type meter, but, customers usually don't want me inserting a bung in their exhaust (or its falling apart). I found this cheap meter, from Gunson, the company that Makes Colortune, that I have been using for years. $300 as of last month (april 25).

I hooked it up to Ralph, my white 81 250 unadjustable carb 6. After simple calibration in air, 2%CO, Ralph's exhaust was 4.9% Supposedly, 5% is perfect. When running it up to higher revs, it went to 6% (richer) So, Cool. Damn carb seems to be set up reasonably well. huh.
The idle rich/lean screw points towards the cylinder head and requires a special too to turn it, way down low. Easier to remove carb and turn it, and reinstall it. Its a stock varijet II. POS.

Meter works great. Will be using on alot of customer cars, and my Yamaha, which has 4 into 4 exhaust for cylinder by cylinder tuning.. Evil grin.

Someday I will replace the "integral head" with an earlier head, that I have on the damn shelf. Have the Edelbrock carb too.

Not really a tool in the normal sense, but I think it still counts. Already has been very nice.

A signal booster for cell service. Being the shop is a metal box, it's basically a faraday cage, I can sometimes get service by the door, but otherwise nothing. Others have had them for a while and finally decided on one to try.

Made a mount for the bollard. The tube is necked to slip in the other tube, loosen one bolt and I can take it inside/off if I so desired.

Perhaps a little more elegant than some of the others. Not judging, but you know

Very pleased with it, coverage from end to end of the shop and pretty consistent 5g inside.

Got the nut driver set in today. It's magnetic was the main reason I got it so nuts and bolts don't fall down somewhere and lose them. Lol

You keep dumping gas on the ground like that, you'll be money ahead getting a new tank, after a few times of that!

Tanks are pretty cheap in reality.

Finally got a "decent" pressure washer. Of course I would love a $5000 heated pressure washer. But I can't afford that or justify it, but I've been living with a garden hose and degreaser for a long time. This will be plenty of an upgrade lol.

Paid $140, think they were like $300 new, around there. 2500 psi, the thing is basically brand new. Old boys son pawned it off on him lol. Didn't really use it.

Got the old gas flushed out and the thing runs dang good. Didn't test it yet though. I've got a few jobs lined up already lol. A few engine bays and transmissions/engines.

Engine is a Honda clone, so that's cool.

Tap and die set from harbor freight. I was a bit overzealous with the impact gun on my pinion nut and gnarled a few threads. Buying this entire set from harbor freight was just about the only way I could get my hands on a 7/8 -14 die the same day.

Cleaned the threads without issue and did not break any teeth on the die.

Never underestimated harbor freight.
