What new tools have you got lately?

Technically a tool! Old pickup box sprayer for a couple hundred bucks. Couldn't build it for less. And it's designed for a long bed 70's pickup already. 350 gallon tank

Thankfully the booms had already been stripped but the main beam for the booms was still there so it was a wide load for 100 miles lol. Was an ND made unit which is cool.

Gonna be a fire skid. 15 miles from the nearest small town fire station north and south. Will most likely end up in a pickup box trailer. Keep it filled when it's not freezing and use it for burn piles, outside torch work, and if anything ever happens.

Neighbors shed burnt down a couple years ago, damaged a couple of my trucks a little bit. Wasn't home though unfortunately. Would be easy for anyone to hook up to, hell even throw a chain on it if you're desperate. Laminate some instructions, keep it topped off.

Would make a hell of a good wash hose for heavy mud too!

The engine and pump are probably useable, the engine needs a coil. But I'm just gonna get a hobo freight pump unit, since the city finally got one, they are just a Honda clone. Will upgrade to a Honda setup next year, I want top quality for a unit of this nature.

Gonna get it repainted and some new straps. Gotta get some hose, fittings and a nozzle as well. For the end of the summer here, winterize and upgrade next summer.

Northern tool has a spray head for $30 that has a 17' spread at about 4.5' off the ground. I use it to spray my yard.

Can't vouch for the next one, but it's metal and 1/2" instead of quarter. Also handles larger flow pumps....and is $20.

For the fire I'd deal with I think bigger will be better, then for the odd and little stuff I'd do, I could always run a smaller hose. I'm just gonna get a wild land fire nozzle that you can control flow rate and spray pattern.

I will look into those for regular hose for sure though. Appreciate it!

New used Air compressor! I don't FB, so my wife logged in, handed me her phone and went to take a nap. Of course I pretended to be her talking to a guys daughter that he was selling.
Anyway, $300, 80 gallons and a mile away, they offered to help my "wife's husband" get it here cause I couldn't figure that part out. They had a trailer. Super nice guys!
My wife said I had to mention that I need to assemble motor, because it needed a new run capacitor. Hopefully all else is okay.
Missing back of cage, NP, leaks a little oil at fill glass. Oil looks good.

My new used Air compressor is working. New China Motor, oil sight glass, wire shelf for the back (saved $250) definitely NOT louder than my 25 gallon. Friend gonna help me get it into place. Then I can mount air filter and dryer, and run pipe for bottom air (water) bleed. It's very dirty and rusty in there! I'll run for 30-60 minutes with bottom bleed open. We'll see...

How is it on the ribs? Anytime I lay over a motor like that my rib cage aches afterwards.

You need one of those flying harnesses for movies and theater. You could just float over the engine compartment.

Idk but that ~2" of padding's gotta be better on the ribs than laying the core support or intake manifold like I always end up doing...

My bday was Saturday and it was rainy and nasty most of the day. Me and the GF ended up just wandering around some antique/junk stores, ended up a few towns over and stumbled across a Hobo Freight having their grand opening. I'd been eyeing their mechanic's cart for a while and it was on sale for $20 off so I grabbed that, a 36" pry bar to replace the one I've lost (which I will now find in short order, I'm sure) and a new pocket light (that was also on sale) cuz I'm constantly needing a light.
