Wasn't too bad, a scrap piece of aluminum, a couple of hours in the mill, some polishing and some rattle can bed liner for a
little texture. I think they turned out pretty well.

Almost finished rebuilding carb today. Lost 2 screws so go to store tomorrow, get 2 replacements, and learn how to tune it! Really excited to see if my choke works since PO didn't hook up linkages correct and now at least it turns!

Was tracing a short with the gf hanging out and sitting in the drivers seat
She decided to turn on my lights under the dash
Few seconds later smoke comes rolling out of the dash
So glad it didn't catch fire
Irritated about it but I found my short

For frame paint I like to use Eastwood's Ceramic Chassis Black...I use the satin finish but they also have a gloss finish. Tough stuff....I just got a couple quarts to do the frame on my 73 GMC when it comes back from the media blaster.

My father-in-law had the frame on his F250 plow truck sprayed at a local marina with some type of marine specific epoxy. That was done at least 10 years ago. Still looks like they sprayed it yesterday, and he only uses the truck in the winter, in all the salt and **** they put down here in MI. If I ever get to that point with my truck, I will be looking into that as an alternative.

Yesterday my son and I replaced the front t case output seal and installed new ujoints into my new (used) front driveshaft. That was a PITA!!! But it's done now. On to the rear and then easy off the underside to clean everything up.

Replaced the range shift hub and seals in my 241. I gotta say its pretty simple which should equate to a good transfer case.

Desludged the front of the block on my truck. Cleaned up the one cross member.

Looking online I now have to double check if I have the short fuel pump bolt because I don't recall see it. Also don't recall seeing the fuel pump back plate.

Will be getting some stuff to clean the top of the blocks to put the 993 heads on.
