If you can't get a carbed Chevy to be reliable, I can't understand how doing an ls swap is gonna fix anything lol.

Talk about fighting demons lol. Whatever floats your boat
I was going to put a different response, but decided the high road is the better road. I will just say this, you haven't seen what the previous owner did to the truck when they swapped the blown 305 out for the 350, which as I'm sure you know, and just overlooked, is not carbureted but TBI in an 87.

As it's my truck and my pandoras box of problems I would prefer to take it all out and start fresh. And while I realize my mechanical acumen must not be anywhere near yours since you have so many 350's in your fleet, as someone who has successfully completed a few swaps in my time, I am ok with and up to the task of chasing my own demons as opposed to the sins of the previous owner.

I will say that while the vast majority of folks on this forum are super nice and supportive I'm glad to see that there are still random snipers here that would rather shoot folks down for taking a different path with their builds/projects. All is right in the world of automotive forums.

Not really taking shots. You can get offended if you want, it's not on me. All I said was the truth lol

Same thing I would say to anyone's face lol. If that's what you want that's fine, but don't blame the machine.

I think it's just because your post made it seem like you were going to LS swap it because you COULDN'T get it to run reliably... rather than you didn't WANT to since an LS swap was going to be happening anyway.

I get it. I once kicked off a suspension and axle swap project earlier than intended because I had a front hub lock go on the fritz, lol.

It comes off as taking shots when you add the passive aggressive lol at the end of each sentence.

I'm not blaming the machine, but what the PO did to it.

Nail on the head, I wanted to band aid it and drive it this summer, but if I'm going to throw cash and time into it then I want to do it once and do it right, and get rid of the "mods" the PO put in place.
