New Trico "classic" wipers. I hate the black plastic., but why did Trico put that stupid silver plastic center fitting? 2" longer than stock is no problem. #33-183, $24.99 EACH on the jungle site.
I buy my wipers from R0ck Auto in bulk to avoid shipping charges. I particularly like Bosch when they have them. I've gotten wipers for as little as $2.50 a pair although they usually go about $5/6.

I got them because the black plastic ones do not look right. I bought them for the metal frames. I also gave them as a present to Ralph, the truck, for 5 years ownership. New wipers that look right.. Good gift for a 45 year old truck.

My 78 is, relatively, new. It's my version of an upgrade from our 03 Ranger. It has a lot of big and little issues I have to tend. Things such as:

- undoing what the previous owner(s) did by way of disconnecting the choke, which had been run straight to the battery (so drained it, sitting around);

- pulling hot and other wires that appear, in part, to be from a stereo install, and more, that were removed (this filled a box, and the dash looks much more sane, now);

- adding wires for the unused ignition lock-out microswitches;

- rerouting, or replacing the wiper feed, which works with the key off, even as the pump doesn't;

- replacing the blower motor, which has a cut wire, presumably for good reason;

- adding the backup light circuit to the backups that have cut wires too;

- chasing grounds, cleaning fuse contacts, the usual gambit (pretty much done);

- then there will be my version of a stereo, electric seats, . . . .;

Tending these things, when I was pretending to have common sense, included disconnecting the battery ground. Over and over again. Since I had a couple of the heavy-duty switches in my switch bin, and some diamond plate from a roadside truck flap, I made a mount and added a quick cut out.

This makes cutting the battery out of the circuit easy enough I don't have to gamble.

Anyone bought the narrow snap to fit Trico inserts?
You'll have to be the guinea pig for us. I asked the guy at Oreillys where i bought the blades if they could just get me the refills and after punching around on his computer he told me check Amazon.

Summit has some of the 15" if thats what you need.

Do they use the goofy plastic adapters to attach to the wiper arms?
No. They're all stainless steel other than the rubber blade. I bought em locally so I could check because it seems to be hit or miss.

The plastic ones on the previous set of black ones just kind of flopped around while they were running. These fit nice and tight

Something in my new to me/used Corsa muffler has started rattling at certain times on my '05. At first I also thought I was having an engine issue until I was fueling up one day last week, left the truck running and heard the rattle. Crawled under and sure enough, it's the muffler
well it started again (3 month old mufflers). Guess I can stop by the place that installed them to so what they say. If they want a dime, I'll go to my other shop....which I should have gone to in the first place lol.

Got a top I didn't need from FB market place. However I did get the flat glass i wanted. 100 bucks was a lot cheaper than what was quoted to me by the glass places around me...

I asked on my build thread, so I'll ask here. Anyone know how to remove old window tint?

Side pipes are the answer! Lol
Honestly I’ve had cheap mufflers come apart pretty quick back in the day and since then I don’t buy cheap mufflers. Especially if they’re welded on.
Flowmasters on the blue truck were date code 1998 when they crapped out a couple years ago. I’ll take that.

I always try to get the welded versions of whatever I'm looking for some reason most of the time they are cheaper than the rolled/pinched type mufflers and often made from thicker material. I think maybe due to the machinery required to do the crimping cost/maintenance wise is getting to not be worth the cost for some manufacturers vs welding.

Mine for instance are about $20-25 cheaper and heavier than the standard versions.

My buddy uses a small handheld steam cleaner that's meant for clothes and it comes off very easy
