Was working from home today so I figured I would start getting a part of the project knocked out so I can start checking stuff off the list. I decided to make a custom license plate light and have it also shine GMC right under the bumper but this is version 2.

I think I posted this before but here is version 1.

I revised how the light is shining so it should be around the permitter of the letters and will also shine through a clear lens that will be mounted to the bumper. I might go ahead and make that but I was planning on incorporating the rear view camera into that somehow so I could see to hook up to the trailer with a Wolfbox style rear view mirror.
I really like how that turned out

I thought you were getting away with running the old gold plates, but then I noticed the date sticker, lol.

The 55 frame is flat & the Square frame dips between the engine & bed area. I made some stands to accommodate the difference.
I may use the original frame later down the road but what I have concocted now is very drivable & usable.
I used a bunch of leftovers to get it together years back so that dad could see it before he left us. He didn't get to ride but he did get to admire both his trucks before passing.

It's a Square in It's bones with whatever else I had laying around.

I'm in the process of doing the same thing with a different kind of body... but using a square body chassis. It's going pretty good, other than I've forgotten where everything goes since stripping both trucks. I'll be asking questions...

That truck must pull to the right. You know, being that one side goes faster than the other.

Picked up my seats from the upholstery shop today. Quite pleased with them! They were able to keep the little emblem/medallion thingies and reuse them as I requested. They had enough extra vinyl to cover the plastic panels on the back of the front seats which was a nice touch.

Great work, has as much character inside as outside.
