Today I did one of the most South Louisiana appropriate things a man can do with a Square Body Truck. I drove it to pick up the crawfish for the family Easter Crawfish Boil. And in my opinion, I had the coolest truck in the parking lot at the seafood market.

Replaced the alternator belt, changed the oil, and drove it around for the first time since last fall. It's running and driving great! And it's a rare sight to see all three of my trucks together since the '85 stays in the garage 99% of the time, so I had to snap a pic...

That's my '89 pickup, my '02 Escalade, and of course my '85. Only one more year of apartment life......

Y'all don't crucify me for working on The Truck on Easter Sunday. I want to drive it today but it started missing and snorting yesterday and I cannot drive around with an unreliable vehicle. I replaced the Ignition Control Module which is not a difficult job. It is however getting difficult to get my fat body contorted and supported properly to remove the distributor cap and get to this thing.

In hindsight, I should have replaced the distributor cap and rotor while I was in there but I did not have those components on hand. I did clean things up before re-assembly. And yes, I know I did not label the wires in the correct order, I just needed a quick reference to get them back where they are supposed to go afterwards. My I&E Tech life makes labeling wires a necessity.

Raining here so the Burb is getting a country wash lol Installed Bilstein 5125s yesterday and what a difference of El cheapo pro comps I installed a couple years back. New tie rod ends installed and sway bar removed. On order is new leaf springs all around and some steering goodies. Rewired my Dick Cepek light bar and installed a new switch for it..talk about a rats nest, all good now. Have a great day all!

@Mr Clean thought you would like to see the lights lit up..I'd like to fab up a custom rack for the top to put lights on, if I get around to it soon, these lights have your name on them.

@John-Ryan what headlights are you running? Are they lit up on the outside edges or is that just the picture?

DOT Approved 60w 4x6 inch LED Headlights Rectangular Replacement H4651 H4652 H4656 H4666 H6545 with DRL for Peterbil Kenworth Freightinger Ford Probe Chevrolet Oldsmobile Cutlass(black,4pcs) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0744FSQSP/

I don't absolutely love them..I'm a fan for the halogen and original look, but these function 100x better at night. They have daytime running lights on the edges that I wired to the parking lights.

Beautiful day today! Swapped out spark plugs today as they old ones were corroded and needed shorties for the headers. Discovered a new leak thanks to the headers lol..oil was spitting out of the seal on the oil sending unit and smoking upon header contact
