So I have a stall converter in my 75 TH350 behind a 383. A few days ago I took off from a traffic light pretty fast and it started making thus whirring noise while moving slowly and a sort of grinding noise when at a stop in gear. Fluid looks fine. It also makes a whirring noise while in park which makes me think its the stall. Before all this happened I could hear a faint whirring noise while driving so it might have just been on its last leg. Trans is rebuilt as of a few years ago and has a b&m shift kit and a cooler. Any ideas/ further diagnosis? Thanks!

Besides one that completely failed, I've only had them make any kind of noise while in gear and stopped.

Maybe it could be a bad pump then? It sounds similar to a power steering pump that it going bad or is low on fluid
