The ball looking thing on the driver's side......I have pics but the lone vac line disappears behind the motor - cant figure out what it connects to, maybe the cruise or HVAC? With a Vintage Air setup, I wont need it for the HVAC. Not sure what I'm doing yet with the cruise.

Just wondering if there's anything else I would need it for or can I delete it altogether.

If you are going away from vacuum actuated HVAC controls and actuators I would say you do not need it but see attached PDF Vacuum diagram. This one is for an 87 with TBI.
