So just like the title says I'm experiencing a vacuum leak when braking. My initial suspect was the power brake booster but it's since been cleared of all charges. The culprit turned out to be a push button switch above the brake pedal that hangs out next to the brake light switch. Does anybody know what this switch is for?

Thanks dudes.

Cruise control brake switch. Disables the CC when the brakes are applied.

That makes total sense! Though I'm not aware of having cruise control... Thanks man. Is this switch suppose to leak this way?

No it's not supposed to leak. Needs to be replaced, but an interim fix is to disconnect it's vacuum supply from the engine. That's what I did with mine until can replace every inch of vacuum tubing to that system, and replace that switch too. I thought my booster had gone bad too.
