has anyone out there installed a turbo on 454 looking for specs and pics.
Its not really that different from any other engine. You just. need to decide what you want to do. 1st, decide what fueling system you want to use. Carb, TBI, or MPFI.
And then decide if you want a single or dual turbo setup. The hardest part is running all the pipe. You will also want to start out with a low compression engine, like 8.5:1, and depending on how much boost you use, maybe change the head bolts to studs, and possibly have the heads O ringed for turbo/blower head gaskets.

thanks yep thinking of just using the carb set up and probably just a single for now. its going to be a hauling/street truck. more pics to come once i move back to pa that where the truck is. thanks for the help

I'd sell yeah an h1c off a 1st gen cummins. It has a rebuild kit in it but I snapped the pin wheel. They are about 80 bucks. It also needs an exhaust housing. They are about 100 used. If your interested 50 bucks or with my current housing for 150 plus ride.

Look up english racing sand truck on youtube. Its not a 454 but a 540 twin turbo.
