It's leaking because you had to top off the fluid, or you know it's leaking because it drips on the ground?

Another common overlook, is the o ring at the TV cable where it goes into the case. The O ring gets flattened out, then will leak. Normally, this will usually leak until the fluid level gets under that point and then pretty much stop leaking. It's not under pressure at all so it just leaks enough to get under that point, then the leaking stops. But, many times that isn't low enough to make the trans not shift, so you may have another issue. Where is it leaking from? Front, rear??? Driver side or Pass side??? Could be the Servo seal, or front or rear seal also.

clean it all really good, brake clean, gunk, carb cleaner something, spray it and rub it down, make sure it's dry and clean of any fluid, then find your leak.

Check the speedo gear and/or governor cover. When I worked at Coleman-Taylor Trans we never used the o-ring on the governor cover just black silicone.
