This truck has clear coat issues, so I’m not sure how satisfying the result will be for you. I’ll do my best.

Getting close to caught up on the maintenance items. I had to drag it out and wash the underside for Perry. Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait another week before I wash the body. The stainless exhaust and aluminum driveshaft makes me tingle a bit. The injectors should be here Tuesday, I’ll knock out the fuel system this week. I got that redarc trailer brake controller someone mentioned too.

Utah was nice. The truck had zero issues and towed like a champ, but we’re glad to be home.

Recently did some work to the older Cummins. Pretty much everything except the engine and trans internals are new mechanically. Rewired a bit. 3/0 battery cables for the 370a alternator.

Suspension and ARBs front and rear as well. Suspension, lockers and engine lined up for the square for my winter project. Excited about the square’s next step.

Interior is next. Redoing the seats with leather, then putting a halfway decent audio/video system after installing more soundproofing.

The truck went on a 1300 mile round trip to Salt Lake City to pick up a Tufport shell. The camper build will be fun.

Stripped the interior, shampooed the carpet, etc. I’m about to go to town with sound deadening mat, closed cell foam and mass loaded vinyl on the interior. Going to install a 3500 watt system. Should be plenty for listening to Yo-Yo Ma at level 11.

Nice choice. But, why would anyone want to cover up that sweet, sweet, 5.9 Cummins sound?

What sound is that? Bucket of bolts down the intake or bearings falling out?

It's definitely a legendary engine, and it's just my personal preference, but IMHO the automotive B-Series is about the worst sounding diesel on the planet.

Any prolonged engine noise on a long trip is fatiguing. This is getting turned into a camping/vacation machine built for longer hours in the seat.

I’ve put a decent dent in the floor. A bit more to go on the black stuff. Definitely passes the knock test.

Pretty much wrapped up the interior/sound system. Just need to get the DSP tuned. Don’t have a pc to run the software, only have a Mac.

Wrapped up the dash. Got this autometer 3 gauge pod deal for my gauges. Real oil pressure, EGT and air pressure for my OBA.
