What is that, P205/60-R15s? On a 4x4?? And the pink accents, either gay or a chick, explains everything. I would still rock it, long enough to park it on top of the original owner's head. And dont knock a Rhinoliner paint job, that is my wet dream! :leghump:

thats easy enough it seems you should be done by now! I have to say, I saw a squarebody that got covered in bed liner a while back, if I remember right I helped do it and it looked like total ****. The customer did want a reddish brown so that could be the cause, It looked like red primer and cost a shitload of money.

Another bad thing about that is you pretty much ruin the panels so if in the future you want to go back you're screwed and might as well just crush the truck because that crap is almost impossible to get off!!!

The one I seen didn't look all that bad. It was black. And I mean black. ALL of it was done. Bumpers, door handles and all. Only thing that wasn't done was the wheels. The rest of it was coverred. It was a late model S-10 truck.

I just thought of something. There's no way that truck is chromed.

If it was, the firewall would be chrome as well, wouldn't it? The dash would be, too.

I thought of that too. Everything that is chromed is a bolt-on part, except the quarter panels... but they are partially bolted on (as complete bedsides). So either they were removed, chromed, and then reinstalled... or they have some sort of chrome decal covering them. That's my guess.

Doesn't much matter to me how or why, what bolts on or not, it looks like hell and someone wasted a damn good truck.

Swims is right. They have chrome paint now that comes in many different colors but this is the first I've seen it to look like actual chrome. That's roughly a 12k paint job! The reason I know this is the guy who sprayed the color on my truck specialized in painting in chrome colors. He said to paint mine in a blue chrome it'd be about 12k. I nicely said no thanks:)

That's good news then. Its not acutally chrome, its paint. That means it can be sanded, hit with primer and painted again. I'd have one completely painted with rhino lining before I'd have that. Nice to know there is such a product though. I wouldn't mind trying it out on a couple painted bumpers I have on my box van. even a grill might look ok with that kind of paint.

Yeah, it works really well when restoring trim pieces, grills and bumpers so it has it's place and looks good when done correctly. This, however, is not one of those cases!! :D

When I had my truck in to get paint I saw some of the smaller projects he was doing and he sprayed the chrome on some old trim pieces from a 30's era Ford that couldn't be bought new from any restoration shops. They turned out nice and in that case well worth the extra money.
