358 Dart block with aluminum heads 430hp/450ft-lb torque
There is a big difference in the types of timing and the timing curve. A street engine will require different timing setup than performance timing setups. Why do they make distributors with adjustable electronic timing curves or centrifugal weights and curve adjustments?

The basic idea makes sense. You're just tuning the engine for peak power when it's seeing it's highest load. Poor man's dyno basically.

You just have to find a brave helper...
