With the money from my tax return i was planning on installing a complete system in my truck. One of my Christmas presents was enough bed liner for my bed and inside of my cab. I have no carpets and only some autozone floor mats. So i was going to do the inside of my cab with the bed liner. I'm worried that because its a single cab truck with no insultaion that sound quality will be sacrificed. The only route for sound deadening i can go (as far as i know) is spraying on lizard skin. That stuff is kinda pricey but i can put the bed liner on top of it. So I'm wondering is it even worth it? Any opinions and input is appreciated.

I hear alot about lizard skin but have never tried it. I am a fan of Dyna mat, that stuff is the ****. Just cut it to shape with a razor knife, peel and stick where you want it. I did doors only in my 85 and it cut WAY down on noise in the cab, I highly recommend that stuff.

I would paint what i want looking nice and use Dyna mat like Irishman said. Works fantastic. With Dyna mat you don't need to cover the whole panel to get rid of sounds from a panel.

But could I still paint the bed liner on the dynamat?

I wouldn't. Bed liner is a pain in the ass. Just put down some rubber floor mat

I have some cheap floor mats. But I'm going to get the inside of my truck full of mud water snow you name it. So for nays real aren't going to cut it to be frank. I don't want to shell out for a big polywhatchamacallot piece that goes across the whole cab.
Could I just use the dynamat in the areas of the speakers and in the doors?

The "TRUCK" rubber floor matting works real good. Keeps the moisture from penetrating and is easy to clean, use a garden hose.
Pull up the sill plates when done warshing and let the moisture dry out, put the sill plates back down.
Lasts for many years too.
That is all we had in the snow plow trucks that the Montana D.O.T run and never had any rusted out floor boards.
Less than $120.00 from Rock Auto.

I wouldn't use Dyna Mat, Look up Fatmat and Shok Industries Sound Mat. Same thing as dyna mat and cheaper. I build full audio builds and chose not to use Dyna Mat rather go to a small company that makes the same ****. Look up a retailer in your area for both products. You can spray your bed liner first and then put the mat down after I do it all the time. It helps with sound quality I know the old guys will say use Dyna Mat but trust me you can get a full car package for a great price and have extra.

That's a good deal if it's thick enough. Not sure what mine was.
