Are the newer HD wheels direct bolt on ?
Yes. The hub may be a little snug, but they bolt right up and do not interfere with the suspension or calipers. Since they are a 9/16" thread on the Squares, I had to buy lugnuts off Ebay that are 9/16" w/14mm exterior threaded for the caps to screw onto. It was only like $28 for the 32 lugnuts though. Ihad to knock my wheels off the hub with a dead blow a couple times, but now they'll come off with a slight tug. You could file or dremel the aluminum out a bit also.

Nice!!

Still getting this thing running, but I'm going to stick with the stock look with dog dish, but I don't know if I'm going to do 16x10, or 17x9. I'm still looking for the front caps, but looks like i'll have to get raped on fleabay.

Up to 2010 yes. 2011 the bolt pattern changed on trucks, but stayed the same for 2500 Suburbans.

2500 Suburbans in those years are like hen's teeth. What was the last year they were available to the general public?

2013 I think? They came out with a new design Burb, a "2015" in 2014. As far as I know, all the civilian ones are 1500s.
