Thanks Casey, that shows me where the brackets went. probably won't use either of them. I'll get some pics tomorrow. I think I'm going to go with the Sanden compressor if I can find a conversion bracket. I think I found one that will work. What do you think?

You shouldn't need that. A Sanden model 4440 is a direct bolt on replacement for the HT6, no adapter brackets needed, besides the spacers it comes with.

Also UAC offers their sanden copy CO4440C, GPDs is 6511340 they usually run about $100 less than the real sanden.

No, the HT6 is the correct one. They are notorious for leaking where the case halves meet. I went with a sanden to avoid that an I wanted a new one since my entire a/c was new too.

That alternator is the cs130d that was standard 105A on the vortecs as well. The cs144 was the "high output" option. The AD244 I used is one that will bolt in from early LS stuff that has some upgrades just from a new design an gives more amp output at idle.
thank yoiu for saying this i was about to say this

The AD244 anD AD230 also last longer because of more efficient cooling

Paul I appreciate all your help. I talked with GPD and they don't really ship to private residents. They have a "Will Call" me being in Texas, and them being GA, lol not going to happen. The gentleman I was speaking with said try Wal-Mart. So I went on line. I got the Compressor, High Pressure switch, and to installation tool, for just a little over 200. Makes me laugh, I would have never thought of Wally World for car parts. Alternator will be next. Thanks Again for your help.

Any suggestion on where to get a alternator for a good price, or a better brand?

I do have a question. You said the crank pulley won't work from a 4.6. Why is that? The crank pulley bolted to my crank.

I was told this back when I did my swap. I have since found out that it isnt correct an all the 4.3 stuff will work. Just can't go back an edit that anymore.

I get alot of stuff from rock auto, so thats my usual go to. They carry GPD an 4 seasons for hvac stuff but sounds like you got that covered. On the alternator they have bosch or delco/Remy in reman or new. WAI global also offers some new ones with more output as well that are pretty popular. I've wanted their 253A one but the one I got from the pull-a-part when I did the swap is still kicking.

Got the power steering pump installed, and pulley on. Clearance the bracket. Powder coated the water pump pulley. Ordered some ARP water pump pulley bolts, and water pump bolts...

Got the AC compressor today, same problem needs to be shimmed to clear the valves cover. Might go see it I can find something that doesn't look like a nut.

Your covers must be petty tall then. Keep an eye on your tensioner travel, that might require a belt the next size up.

If you have a good hardware store look for a shaft collar maybe, or some round stock if you have a good drill press.

i was gonna say, having the diameter of the threaded portion being just large enough to allow it over the bolt with minimal play is probably smart.. also, id be taking into account how much of the threaded portion of the bolt is actually going into the bracket. its threaded aluminum. if its not enough engagement, you need to either put threads in (Heli-coil type stuff) or using a deeper bolt is best...

That ,if you could find a new bolt of perfect length and a shoulder thats not threaded.. at the collar/spacer spot.. would be cool but probably not to be found without a custom bolt created

I was going to run up to my local hardware store and see what they have. I'm sure they have some sort of spacer. My valve covers are not that much taller than stock, they just don't angle down on the ends. I'm going to order my alternator today. I'm just going to get new so I don't have to deal with sending back a core.

Yes longer bolts are going to be a must. about 3 maybe 4 threads engage. I might get longer than what I need and trim it to fit correctly.
