What all do I need to do to remove the smog pump stuff? I'm planning on going to headers anyway. What kind of belt do I need to get for it if I remove the smog pump

if they don't list one for yours without tell them older one, it's supposed to be an option in their system, without AIR pump. Go online to your auto parts store nearest you on their website, autozone.com advanceautoparts.com etc. enter your info and look it up yourself, if you find it write down the number and go down and get it or order online. If you order over $50 in stuff look online for discount codes, I do it all the time from advance, just saved $40 on a battery yesterday.

When I ditched all my smog and went straight headers....removed pump, pump bracket, removed belt for pump, removed pump air hose to air cleaner, removed stock exhaust manifold...thats it. In my case with a small block 350...there wasn't a need to get another belt after ditching the air pump.

Yep. If I remember right, the smog pump has it own belt connected to the crank pulley. Just yank it off it will NOT effect the other belts.

Yup, what Smooth and Garza said. I went to headers myself. AIR pump still attached and belted, though. Need to take belt off before pump decides to seize.

been awhile since I removed one figured it had a belt tied in with others. I've removed several just forgot.
